It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Frances Carollo Crawford. Mom is at peace in the loving folds of our Lord Jesus Christ's arms. She departed this earthly life peacefully on June 5, 2026. She lived a life defined by the love, strength, kindness, and devotion she freely and fiercely gave to her loved ones, creating lasting memories for her husband, sisters, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Her warmth and wisdom touched countless lives, and her legacy will continue through the family she cherished.
Frances was born in Slidell, Louisiana to Russell "Cy" Carollo and Ruby Fogg Carollo. Frances was the oldest of the five Carollo daughters. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and Slidell High School where she met the love of her life, Curtis. They graduated from high school together in 1950. They were married on March 25,1951 on Easter Sunday, and were blessed to celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary on March 25, 2026. She was characterized by generosity, faith, humor, compassion, caring, strength, and fierce love for her family. She will be remembered with love and happy faces for her many family parties and celebrations in the welcoming environment of their Palm Lake home. Her warmth and wisdom touched countless lives, and her legacy will continue through the family she built and cherished.
She is survived by her devoted, loving husband Curtis Crawford, her children Terri Crawford Juge (Bobby, deceased), Ruby Crawford Swords (Mike, deceased), and Tina Crawford White; her grandchildren, Scott Crawford (Kristi), Kelly Crawford Smith (Britten), Rob Juge (Jessica), Chris Juge (Faith), Michael Swords (Nicole), Bella White, and Olivia White; her great-grandchildren William Crawford (Justine), Victoria Crawford, Austyn Crawford (Ashleigh), Trevor Gueho (deceased), Alivia Gueho, Russell Smith, Alex Juge, Tony Juge, Shayla Juge, Christian Juge, Braden Chopp, Ava Barbot, Camden Barbot, Danielle Motichek (Swords), and Faye Swords; and her great-great grandchildren Hunter Crawford, Emma Crawford, and Everett Helloms (Crawford); sisters, Rosalie Carollo Olivier, Ruby Kay Carrollo Jones, and Gloria Carrollo Minacapelli.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cy and Ruby Carollo, her sons Curt Crawford and Wade Crawford, her daughter-in law, Mary Crawford, her sons-in-law Mike Swords and Bobby Juge, and her sister Mary Ann Carollo Crocker.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Slidell, Louisiana.
Visitation will precede the Mass from 10:30 am to Noon.
A mother's love is forever woven into the hearts of her children.
In lieu of flowers, the Family humbly suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, which funds research into all forms of Dementia.
