Frank Nunzio (Boo) Cusimano, Jr., 89, of Slidell, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, October 2, 2026, in Mandeville, Louisiana.
He was a long-time pharmacist in Slidell and owner of Tammany Drugs on Pontchartrain Drive. He was a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans and Northeast Louisiana University Pharmacy School in Monroe. After his retirement, he served the community as a volunteer at the Cancer Center in Slidell for many years. He was a resident of Mandeville for the last year and a half of his life, where he attended daily mass at Most Holy Trinity Church. Born in New Orleans in 1937 to Frank, Sr., and Grace Canulette Cusimano, Frank (Boo) was the loving and proud father of four, grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of nine. His faith in God, his love of family, and his kindness to other people are what anchored him and also created a beautiful legacy for his descendants. He was the gentlest and sweetest of souls, and everyone who knew him loved him.
Frank was a huge fan of baseball. From playing in the backyard with other Slidell boys while growing up, to attending games all over the country with his father, who was another avid baseball fan, to countless trips to Houston to watch his beloved Astros, baseball was a life-long passion of his. He was also a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints, holding season tickets and never missing a game for several years.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Angela Cusimano Buck, and by his three sons and their wives, Frank Cusimano, III, (Jeanine), Landon Cusimano (Sheila), and Charlie Cusimano (Cindy). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, as well as stepsons Robert, Don and Michael Adoue. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Frank was predeceased by two wives, Linda (Lulu) Posey Cusimano and Margaret Zinsler Cusimano, his parents Frank and Grace Cusimano, his brother, Dr. Richard Cusimano, and one step-son, Billy Adoue.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend services on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, LA. with visitation from 9-11 a.m. and the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Franks memory to the SMH Regional Cancer Center in Slidell in Frank’s memory.
