Gail Patricia Carston Grimwood, 87, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Slidell.

Gail was born September 27, 1938, in Astoria, New York, to Clifford and Grace Carston. In 1959, she married Charles Grimwood in Seaford, New York. The couple moved to New Jersey for a while before going to New Orleans and then to Slidell in the mid 1970s. Gail's love of life was the joy of raising her family.

Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Grimwood; and a daughter, Laura Lee Grimwood Taylor.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Grimwood Gonzalez (Mark); three grandchildren, Christopher Charles Grimwood, Rancy Jacob Taylor, Taryn Taylor; one great-grandchild, Rancy Ross Taylor; brother, Peter Carston; sister, Karen Carston Sheehan; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460 on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the Mass at 11:00am.
