Gaile Cabiran Burst, a native of New Orleans and a resident of the Rigolets,  died peacefully Monday August 8, 2022.  She was 79.  Gaile is survived by her husband, Roland Carey Burst Jr., daughter, Jolie Cabiran Sevin, son, Joseph Cabiran IV and brother, Stanley Wereskla.  She is also survived by step-daughters, Anjele Burst Burgoyne (James), Hope Burst Richard (David), grandchildren, Avery and Sarah Burgoyne, Mindy Taylor Sparrow, Josh Marchetta, Becky Richard Irion and great-grandchildren. Gaile was preceded in death by former husband Joseph Cabiran III and parents Stanislaus Michael and Edna Larre' Wereskla.

Gaile was a parishioner of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church. Gaile was retired from Standard Mortgage Co. and currently belonged to the Fort Pike Volunteer Fire Department. Gaile also had a previous profession as a draftsman and enjoyed engraving.  Gaile loved photographing sunsets at the lake, all things frogs, loved reading and books on tape, she loved cooking but most of all caring for those she loved.

A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27 from 12-2 PM, service at 2PM at Honaker Funeral Home 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell LA.

A sunset memorial will be held on Sunday, August 28 at their house on Lake Pontchartrain, 25093 Chef Menteur Hwy New Orleans, LA 70127, at 5PM with a prayer at sunset.
