Gary J
Gammon
Dec 2, 1958 — Sep 25, 2026
Slidell, Louisiana
On September 25, 2026, my world changed forever.
My beloved husband, Gary J. Gammon, 67, passed away suddenly at home, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and people who will never stop missing him.
Gary had called Slidell, Louisiana, home since he was just three years old. But for the last 40 years, I was blessed to call him my husband, my best friend, my partner, and my home. We shared a life together for four decades. We did so much of life side by side, and I cannot imagine what life looks like without him beside me.
Gary was the kind of person who would help anyone. If someone needed something, he was there. He had a generous heart and loved deeply. Those who knew him knew that when Gary loved you, he genuinely loved you.
He was a part of 4G Printing, the family business, and he took great pride in working alongside his family. He also loved his airport friends and enjoyed taking them to and from the airport. Those simple moments of helping others and spending time with people meant so much to him.
But perhaps nothing brought Gary more joy than his dogs. Patches, Boozer, Geigh, and Joey were not simply dogs to him—they were his family. They were loved, spoiled, and cherished, and anyone who knew Gary knew just how much those four-legged babies meant to him. I am sure they were waiting for him in excitement.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Niles Edwin Gammon and Clara Craven Gammon; his brother, Gregg E. Gammon; his mother-in-law, Joan Ouder Liverett; his father-in-law, Clifford C. Ouder, Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Jay C. Ouder and Joseph C. Ouder.
He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 40 years, Jennifer Ouder Gammon; his sister, Gayle Guerra (Gregory); brother-in-law, Robert Liverett (Christy); nephews, Niles Guerra and Sean Gammon; nieces, Alana Liverett, Gabrielle Guerra and Greenlee Duncan; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness.
There are no words big enough to explain what Gary meant to me. He wasn’t just my husband. He was my person. He was the one I shared my days with, my plans with, my laughter with, my worries with, and my life with.
Forty years is a lifetime of memories, but it will never feel like enough.
Gary, I hope you knew how very loved you were. I hope you knew how much you mattered to me and to everyone whose life you touched. I will carry our 40 years together in my heart for the rest of my life.
I love you, Gary. I always have. I always will. Until we meet again.
