Geneva C. Ratcliff, of Slidell, Louisiana, entered eternal life on October 28, 2025, at the age of 78.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ratcliff; her son, Lanier Ratcliff (Nikita Ratcliff); her parents, Eugene and Evelyn Pierre Christmas; two brothers, Eugene Pierre, and David Christmas; and her sister, Janice Scott.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Michael Ratcliff (Antinette); and her grandchildren, Lanier Crandle, Chelsea Crandle, Verlieanna Ratcliff, Lashawn Ratcliff, Xavier Ratcliff, Zeta McCaskill, Jeremiah McAfee, Tyrese Johnson, Michael Ratcliff Jr., Makira Ratcliff, Makhia Ratcliff, Miracle Ratcliff, and Kingston Doss. She is also survived by her sisters, Debra Dents, and Pauline C. Cheatham (Issac); two brothers, Aaron Pierre, and Keith Christmas (Veronica), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and family, who will carry her memories in their hearts forever.
Geneva was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was educated and worked as a data analyst while raising her children. Years later she relocated to Slidell, Louisiana, where she devoted the remainder of her life to her family. Geneva and Frank would leisure by traveling and cruising the coast whenever they could. She lived a life surrounded by love, laughter, and purpose. Geneva found her joy in reading, listening to music, going to bingo, and having the company of friends and family. She touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Those who were blessed to know Geneva will remember her kind smile, soft heart, sense of humor and her strength. She taught us all what it meant to love deeply, give freely, and live fully.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA, on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.
Rev. Joseph Bell, officiating.
Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
Visitation at the funeral home on Friday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
