Georgie M. Carr Guidry, age of 92, of Lacombe LA, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on September 13, 2023.

She leaves behind her son, Raymond F. Guidry, Jr. and his wife Lindy of Lacombe, her son, James E. Guidry and his wife Wendy of Madisonville, her daughter Laurie L. Guidry and her partner Suellynn Stark of New Hampshire, seven grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, Raymond F. Guidry, Sr. and her daughter, Vickie M. Guidry of Slidell.

Born and raised in Slidell, she attended Slidell High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, known at that time as SLU.  She was in the first graduating class of Physical Therapy at Charity Hospital School of Physical Therapy and worked for Ochsner Hospital Foundation beginning in 1953.  She also worked for MediCenter in Slidell.  She served New Orleans and Northshore area patients in this capacity for over 50 years.  Ms. Guidry was an avid horsewoman, riding and raising Paso Fino horses.

Mrs. Guidry will be remembered by many as a loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
