Gloria A. McGee, 69, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana.

Gloria was born May 8, 1955, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Arthur and Laura Adams.

After graduating from High School in Bunkie, Louisiana, in 1973, she moved to Alexandria.  In 1975 she married Larry McGee in Alexandria and in 1984 she graduated from LSU.  In 1999 the couple moved to Slidell.

Gloria worked as a nurse at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, and Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, and worked with the Slidell Votech School in Slidell.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Zelma Adams; and two brothers, Arthur Adams Jr., and McDonald Adams.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Larry McGee; two sons, Frederick Dwayne McGee, Larry Charles McGee Jr.; brothers, Joseph David Adams, Marvin Adams; sister, Terecitha Adams Smith, Shela Marie Adams Bollenbacher; and other relatives.

Memorial Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460, on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

Friends may visit at the funeral home beginning at 9:00am.  The memorial service will follow at 11:00am.
