Gloria Schindler Miramon, 96, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Slidell.

Gloria was born September 27, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Frederick and Florence Schindler.  In 1946 she married Louis "Pat" Miramon in New Orleans.  They moved to Slidell in 1963 and became pillars of the community.  She is remembered for her strong faith, and, as her husband would say, a very "Classy Broad".  She was definitely the strength behind her husband, rolling her eyes when appropriate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Miramon; and two sisters, Christel Tripp and Florence Jackman.

She is survived by four children, Debbie McMath (Don), Donna Campbell (Brian), Dolly Miramon, Denise Miramon (Richie Brockhaus); seven grandchildren, Tiffany Hymel, Patrick McMath, Christen Siegel, Brian Douglas Campbell, Catherine Niemi, Sadie Istre, Yvonne Bryant; seventeen great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Crossgates Blvd Slidell LA 70461, on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:30am.  Friends may visit at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
