Harold Gene Lyle passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 78, at his residence in Pearl River, LA. He was surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his parents, Myrtis Evon Harrison Lyle, and Robert Matthew Lyle, and brother, Robert Gerald Lyle.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Cote Lyle, of 46 years, two sons Jeffrey Lloyd Lyle (Sarah), Slidell, LA and Jason Gene Lyle, Slidell, LA; his sisters, Pam Lyle Graves (Bo) Ocean Springs, MS; Rita Lyle Ginn (Von) Luling, LA; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Malachi, Maddox, Kourtney, Samuel; and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Harold was born in Morton, MS on October 14, 1946. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1966-1969. Harold was proud to serve his Country as a Marine. He obtained his college degree in accounting at University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. Harold was employed as an accountant in Soldotna, Alaska; computer analyst in Mississippi and Colorado; and AT&T technician in Louisiana. He met his wife, Dorothy, in Jackson, MS. They married in 1979 at First Pentecostal Church in Polkville, MS.
Harold was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and took pleasure in the outdoors including hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and skiing. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Pentecostal Church, 388 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458 on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 12:00 P.M.
Visitation at the church on Monday after 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.
Interment will follow at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, LA 70460.
