Hazel R. Di Stefano, 86, Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in Slidell at her home.

Hazel was born on October 21, 1937 in Grammercy, Louisiana, to Norbert and Lucie Roussel.  She graduated from Behrman High School in 1955 and married Anthony Di Stefano in Algiers in 1956. She has been a resident of Slidell for 33 years. She spent many years working as a secretary in New Orleans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald J. Roussel, Norbert Roussel Jr.; sisters, Joan R. Melton, Audrey Angelo, Frances Trillet, and Janice Bergeron.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Anthony Di Stefano; son, Andrea "Andy" J. Di Stefano; daughters, Carla Di Stefano, Adelina Di Stefano; granddaughters, Maria Cook, Elena Cook; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Funeral Mass will on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd, in Slidell.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
