Helen Byrnes, age 73, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Slidell.

Helen was born March 15, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida, to A.B. West and Agnes Mitchell West.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Byrnes IV.

She is survived by two children, Richard Byrnes V, Kismine Byrnes Helmke (Jason); three grandchildren, Jason Helmke Jr., Grace Helmke, Richard Byrnes VI; brothers, James Manning, Danny West; sister, Susan Crain; and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
