Hope Stewart Crockett passed away peacefully at her home in Slidell on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

Hope was born in New Orleans, La. On February 7, 1949 to George and Hope Huttner Stewart. She attended school at Florida Avenue Elementary, Slidell Junior High and graduated from Slidell High in 1967. She was a longtime resident of Slidell and was well known by many as the owner of Hope Crockett Photography. Hope was amazingly artistic and creative and touched so many lives with all her talents. Hope will be fondly remembered for her love of Mardi Gras, going to the beach, and traveling the world. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Hope Stewart and her brother Dod Stocking Stewart. She is survived by her brother David Whyte Stewart, sister Mary Stewart Morse, her husband Warren Crockett, son Stewart Crockett, son Sean Crockett and wife Lisa, daughter Shelley Pittman and husband Eric, and grandchildren Layton and Macy Pittman.

A Celebration of Life in Hope's honor will be held by the family at a later date.
