Jacqueline "Jackie" Yvonne Richardson Kurucar, age 86, of Slidell, Louisiana, entered God's Kingdom on Saturday, November 11, 2023, after a long battle of dementia at Summerfield Senior Living of Slidell.

Jacqueline was born to Charles Richardson, Sr. and Yvonne McKinney Richardson on August 17, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a child of God, who was baptized at Evangelical Lutheran Christ Church, New Orleans, Louisiana.  She also attended Delgado Community College, New Orleans, Louisiana.

June 6, 1958, Jacqueline married Robert Joseph Kurucar.  Robert joined The United States Coast and he and Jacqueline moved to Cape May, New Jersey and had two children, Mark Alan, and Paul Gary. In 1963, the family was stationed in San Leandro, California, where Jackie set up her home.  They then went on to Oregon and then to Lynnwood, Washington.  When Robert retired, he and Jackie packed up and moved back home to Lacombe, Louisiana temporarily then on to Slidell, Louisiana to their final home.

Jackie worked at Rose's Department store until its closing. She also worked as a greeter at her local Walmart for a short while.  She then found her niche at Hancock Fabric Store, as she was a wonderful seamstress. A few years after Robert passed away, Jackie met Mr. George Beals and they both enjoyed their "Golden Years" together until his passing.

Throughout her life she held an unwavering faith in God in which she shared with those who surrounded her. Jackie was dedicated to serving others. She volunteered at Bethany Lutheran Church, in Slidell and The Village Church-Lutheran, in Lacombe, as well as Slidell Memorial Hospice.

Jacqueline joins her parents, Charles Richardson, Sr. and Yvonne McKinney Richardson, her brother, Charles Richardson, II and her sister, Charlene Richardson Seghers.  She is survived by her son, Mark Alan Kurucar and her grand-children Chaise Kurucar (Danielle, spouse), great-grandchildren, Riley Kurucar and Katie Kurucar and Skye Fontenot (Joey, spouse and great-grandchildren, Porsha Falcone, Fallon Falcone, Marigny Fontenot and Willow Fontenot); her son Paul Kurucar (Rochell, spouse) and her grandchildren Brandi (Stephen O'Shaughnessy, fiancé) and great-grandchildren Gavin Pichon and Luka O'Shaughnessy and grand-daughter Melissa Kurucar.

The family would like to thank the staff at Anderson at Summerfield Senior Living of Slidell for the loving care they provided to "Miss Jackie". They truly love their residents and that means so much to the family.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Service at the Village Church-Lutheran, 29180 Highway 190, Lacombe, LA. 70445 on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will follow the church fellowship reception in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation at the church on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
