Jacquelyn Deyo Blackmon

With her family by her side, Jacquelyn Deyo Blackmon age 88, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026. Jacquelyn was born in Slidell, Louisiana on August 18, 1938, where she resided her entire life.

A devout Catholic, Jacquelyn was a longtime member of St. Margaret Mary Church. Her wonderful sense of humor served her well while raising five daughters. She was a drum majorette at Slidell High School and graduated in 1957. She loved listening to music, singing, and, most of all, dancing. She also found joy in gardening, sewing, crafting, and floral arranging. Jacquelyn was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society and the Magnolia Homemakers Club.

Jacquelyn is survived by her brother, Harry (Butch) Deyo and sister Ruby Kay (Katie) Anderson; along with her five daughters, Krista Lee (Ernest), Karin McAndrew (Monte), Kellie Dalton (Keane), Karrie Bond (Jewel), and Kathy Blackmon. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Leroy Blackmon; her parents, Spencer and Ruby Deyo, and her grandson John Keane Dalton IV.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the services at Honaker Funeral Home at 1751 Gause Boulevard West, Slidell, Louisiana 70460, on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. immediately followed by a Catholic Service, led by Deacon Louis Bauer.

Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
