James H. "Harry" Brannon, 94, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, in Slidell.

Harry was born May 17, 1929, in Vinton, Louisiana, to Robert and Mary Brannon. Harry graduated from Northwestern State in Natchitoches, Louisiana, before joining the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. In 1957 he married Barbara Bateman and began his career with AT&T. In 1974 the couple moved to Slidell where they flourished with many friends and fishing trips, saw their boys graduate high school and college, and eventually retired.

Harry was preceded in death by his brother Robert Duke Brannon, and grandchild, Benjamin Harrison Brannon.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Brannon; two children, Jim Brannon (Nadine), Jeff Brannon (Elena); his sister, Myrtle "Sue" Warren; three grandchildren, Robert Brannon, Markus Brannon, and Katherine Brannon.

A private family funeral was held at Natchez City Cemetery on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
