Obituary

Jerry Ray Musgrove Jr. was born on October 29, 2004, in Marrero, Louisiana to Amy and Jerry Musgrove Sr. He passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 21 years old. Jerry lived in Lacombe, Louisiana for most of his life. He enjoyed his occupation as a forklift operator. Jerry attended school at Chata-Ima Elementary, Bayou Lacombe Middle School, and Lakeshore High School. Jerry's favorite activity was fishing, which he spent most of his free time doing. He loved to be out on his boat and anywhere near the water in general, spending years accumulating rods and tackle. Any activity was especially enjoyed in the company of family or friends.

The first things you noticed when you looked at Jerry were his big, blue eyes and his long, curly hair. It was easy to see how kind and thoughtful Jerry was. If he found something that made him think of you, he was sure to grab it and give it to you. Jerry loved music, video games, and his favorite food has always been french fries. He could catch a bass in seconds if he had just a piece of bacon. Jerry could do whatever he set his mind to and could build or fix anything with his own two hands— especially with his dad by his side.

Jerry was preceded in death by his grandfather Everette Musgrove. He is survived by his mother, Amy Musgrove; his father, Jerry Musgrove Sr.; his two sisters, Hannah (Trey) and Mya Musgrove (Dyllan); his grandparents, Ellaweze Musgrove, Rose Delaney, and Donnie Delaney; his girlfriend Brooke Conerly; as well as countless aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved him dearly. Jerry also left behind three dogs, Beau, Brick, and Kenny, as well as a cat named Sam. Loved ones of his cherished every moment they had with him, and he'll be missed more than anything.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
