Jimmie David Watts, born December 16, 1942, in Midland, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Corene Brown and David Bradley Watts of Waco, TX, and his beloved wife of 48 years, Kathie Watts. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Debbie Watts; his sister Rhoda and husband Gene Williams; sister Sue Bittler; and brother John and wife Nancy Watts. He also leaves behind his sons, David Watts of Picayune, MS, and granddaughter Kellie Watts, and Jason Watts and wife Michelle of Hagerstown, Maryland, along with grandchildren Ian, Avery, and Owen Watts.

Jimmie served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967, stationed in Great Falls, Montana, where he met and married Kathie. After earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Houston, Jimmie pursued a successful career as a credit manager with Sears, first in Lafayette, Louisiana, and later in Slidell, where he raised his two sons and retired in 1993.

A lifelong car enthusiast, Jimmie was a proud member of the Coastal Cruisers and Big Easy Mo-Par car clubs. He spent over 40 years customizing his cherished 1956 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer and loved attending vintage car shows across the country. With Debbie by his side, he enjoyed countless road trips and international adventures. His passions extended to expert woodworking, antique and classic gun collecting, and always having a creative outdoor project in the works.

Jimmie had a contagious smile, a zest for life, and never met a stranger. His easygoing nature and welcoming spirit touched everyone he encountered. He was an active member of the Northshore Parkinson's Group, attending regularly and always eager to support others with kindness and encouragement. A devout Christian, Jimmie loved Jesus and lived his faith with humility and grace. His legacy is one of kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for his family, faith, and community.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Davis Phinney Foundation in honor of Jimmie's life and his commitment to supporting others living with Parkinson's.
