Jimmy Dale Kidwell, age 87, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024.

While his career was one of many achievements and awards, especially in the aerospace industry, beginning as a draftsman in Texas to becoming the Director of production operations at Lockheed Martin's facility in New Orleans East, it is Jimmy's personal life that will be remembered most.

Jimmy was a man of integrity and a very honest man. He was all about family and helping others. He had many family challenges throughout the years, yet he never wavered in his love or support for his family no matter the circumstances. When his daughter Deborah was diagnosed with cancer, Jimmy, and Carol, ensured she got the best doctors and the best care no matter where they were in the country. They spent several months taking her to hospitals, doctor appointments, and treatments. They also setup a room in their home and provided care during the last several months of her life. This was how Jimmy lived every day.

He also helped many others throughout his life. He was a big supporter of donations for those less fortunate as well as donating his time. Jimmy will be greatly missed by many, not just family.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 70 years Carol Kidwell; his son and daughter-in-law, David, and Kelly Kidwell; and three grandchildren, Tifny Kidwell-Stone, Allen, and Travis Warriner (Ashley). He is also survived by six great grandchildren, Clayton, Colton and Tre Warriner, Nikolas Kidwell-Stone, Joshua Kidwell-Stone, and Syler T. Stone. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Kidwell, and daughter, Deborah Warriner.

A private celebration of his life was held by his family.
