JoAnn Zundel Cox, 82, of Slidell, Louisiana, and a former resident of River Ridge, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. JoAnn was born November 14, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Joseph and Audrey Zundel. In 1966, she married Cliff Cox in New Orleans. After raising their four children in River Ridge, JoAnn and Cliff moved to Slidell in 1993.

JoAnn, affectionately known as "MiMi", was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She loved boating, cruising, playing cards, live music, bingo, cooking, holidays with family, her sweet fur babies, and a good cold beer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Zundel and Audrey DeMots Zundel, stepmother Margaret Zundel, and her brother, Joseph Zundel Jr.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Cliff Cox; four children, Karen Holden (Derrik), Kathy Nicolosi, Patti Broussard, Craig Cox; eight grandchildren, Patrick Holden, Benjamin Holden, Kenneth "Trey" Nicolosi, Tyler Nicolosi, Kirsten Rivers, Braden "Perry" Broussard, Brennan Broussard, Peyton Broussard; five great-grandchildren, Lucas Broussard, Avery Broussard, Daphne Holden, Krew Rivers, Stella Holden; and numerous loving relatives.

The Cox family would like to thank the residents and amazing staff at Summerhouse Park Provence for their loving care and support.

Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460 on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00am.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Celebration of Life to follow at Summerhouse Park Provence, 1925 Possum Hollow Road, Slidell.
