John F. Kuchler Jr., of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in Slidell.

John was born October 5, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to John and Cecilia Kuchler. He was a devoted husband and father.  In 1977 he married his soulmate Deborah DeRoche in Chalmette.  In 2020 the couple retired to Slidell.

He is survived by his wife, Deb Kuchler; his mother, Cecilia Kuchler; two children, Marc Kuchler and Stephen Kuchler; one grandson, Kye; one brother, Glenn Kuchler; and other relatives. He loved fishing with his sons and grandson and hunting with his brother and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Friends may visit beginning at 9:00am on Wednesday, and the memorial service will begin at 11:00am.
