Joyce Ann Hebert Fassbender, 72, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Joy was an avid Saints and LSU fan and would never turn down a game day get together. Joy loved to dance and listen to live music. She danced the night away with family and friends any chance she had. Joy loved people and never met a stranger. She was loved dearly and was an entertaining character in everyone that knew her lives. She was known as "Momma Joy" to all the kids and adults she met. If you were friends or related to one of her kids or grandkids than you knew Momma Joy. Joy loved her kids and grandkids more than anything in this world. She was a faithful Catholic that believed in her faith with all her heart. She prayed for everyone she loved and cared about whether they knew it or not. Joy loved animals even though she preferred the wild ones over pets. From the squirrels and birds in her backyard, the ducks in the pond at the park or the dogs of her kids, there was always bread, birdseed or cheese for them. Joy had a tremendous love for life and lived it to the fullest.

Joy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Charlotte; her parents, Floyd Hebert and Pauline Ryan Hebert Lofton; stepfather, Bob Lofton; siblings, Carolyn Hebert LeBlanc and Jerry Hebert; and a grandson, Jordan Lind.

Joy leaves behind her daughters, Charmain Schwab and Pamela Schwab Floyd (Cliff); sons, Bryan Fassbender (Krystal) and Brett Fassbender (Roxanne); grandsons, Brandon Fassbender, Justin Ansardi, Brenden Fassbender, Tate Guidry and Anthony Foto III;

Granddaughters, Casey Collins, Brittany Schwab, Brianna Fassbender, Kyra Guidry and Brenna Fassbender; siblings, Floyd Hebert Jr. and Paulette Clavier; and six great-grandkids.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 am on Friday July 21, 2023 at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, in Slidell.

Funeral service will begin at 10 am.

A private family burial following the services will be held at Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Metairie.
We would like to welcome residents of St Teresa's Villa to pay their respects. Joy was a longtime resident there and a friend to many of the residents.
