Obituary

Joyce Cuccia Guillot, age 94, passed away September 15, 2024 at her home in Lacombe, LA. Born on September 5, 1930 in New Orleans to May Townsend and John Cuccia.

She is preceded in death by her husband Aldon M. Guillot, son Aldon "Manny" Guillot, and sister Joan Protti.

Joyce is survived by four children, Kathleen Bergeron, Nancy Pearson (J. Kevin), John Guillot (Linda), and Annette Bourgeois (Alden); six grandchildren, Elaine Raymond (Scott), Brett Bergeron (Aubrey), Adam Pearson, Rebecca Martin (Randy), Sarah Deckwa (Cody), and Matthew DiLorenzo (Emily); seven great-grandchildren, Cohen, Brody, Beaux, Rowan, Cooper, Tucker, and Wesley; sister Brenda Cuccia; and many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.

Joyce was married to her high school sweetheart for 66 years and devoted her life to family. As a talented seamstress and crafter, she made countless wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and other special occasion attire for family and friends. Her legacy of love and generosity of spirit will be cherished by those who knew her and her memory will live on in their hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. W (Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell LA on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 am.

Visitation on Saturday after 9:00 am until funeral time. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
