Judith P. Kreppein, 64, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.  Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Judy was born September 16, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Walter and Marie Parson.  She attended school in New Orleans and Metairie, graduating from Grace King High School, Class of 1978.  She worked as a paralegal and an administrative assistant for many years in Metairie and Gretna.  In 1994, she moved with her family to Slidell. She always had love for her gardens and for a few years enjoyed raising her chickens.  Judy retired from the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erik Kreppein; brother, Bruce Parson Sr.; sisters, Debra Pinney, and Brenda Walker.

She is survived by one son, Brad D'Alfonso, brother, Michael Parson Sr. (Peggy), sisters, Tanya Ciofolo (Michael), Pamela Gegg (Michael), Sandra Decker (Steve); three grandchildren, Collin Ganus, Austin D'Alfonso, Aubrey Ganus; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A very special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and assistants at PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington for their special care and kindness.

Services will be held May 27, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo, located at 13396 River Road, Destrehan, Louisiana 70047.  There will be a visitation between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with a service following.
