Judith Bourgeois Rizan, 79, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Slidell. Judith was born on February 10, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Herbert Bourgeois Sr. and Camilla LeJeune. In 1967 she married Milton Rizan, Jr. in New Orleans. In 1977 the family moved to Slidell, Louisiana.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather Joseph LeJeune, her brother Herbert "Sonny" Bourgeois, Jr., and sister Joan Bourgeois Philibert. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Milton Rizan, Jr.; children, Troy Rizan (Michelle), Tracie Rizan, and Tammy Rizan; grandchildren Kimberly, Tory, Brittanie, Bradley, Haley, Brandon, and Lucas; great-grandchildren Parker and Payton; Godchildren Amanda, Susan, and Johnny; and many nieces and nephews.

Judy was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt and touched so many lives with her thoughtfulness. She was devoted to her family and cherished nothing more than family gatherings at her home. She took pleasure in preparing family meals and joyously celebrated holidays.

A Funeral mass will be held at St. Genevieve Church, 58203 LA 433, Slidell, Louisiana, on Monday, August 19, 2024.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by Mass at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
