Judy Allen Plaeger, 83, passed away peacefully in her home in Slidell, Louisiana, on April 22, 2024, at the age of 83.

Judy was born in 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee. She married her husband Alvin A. Plaeger in 1964 and moved to Slidell in 1971.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, William P. Allen of Lascassas, Tennessee, and Oneida Johnson Allen of Oneida, Arkansas; and her husband of 50 years, Alvin A. Plaeger of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Survivors include a brother, William P. Allen, Jr. and his wife Patricia S. Allen of Cape Coral, Florida; nieces, Ashley Allen Gilbert (Evan) of Madisonville, Louisiana, Courtney Allen Asher (Doug) of Cape Coral, Florida; nephew: Andrew Duke Allen (Nicole) of Metairie, Louisiana; great nieces and nephews, Allison and Brandon Gilbert, Payton and Patrick Asher, and Will and Amelie Allen.

Judy was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Slidell, Louisiana for many years where she cultivated wonderful friendships. She was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend and her last moments were spent visiting her family in Florida for her 83rd birthday. She was an avid sports fan and spent much of her free time watching the Saints, Pelicans, and LSU Tigers whenever possible.

Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.   Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with the funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
