Jules Roland Waguespack, Jr, age 89, of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 10:47 am after a long illness.

Roland is survived by his loving wife, Susie Waguespack. He is also survived by his four children and their spouses, Patricia Toups (Barry); Michael Waguespack (Wanda); Cynthia O'Brien (Kenny, Sr); and Mary Mackenroth.

He is survived by 12 grandchildren: Brian, David, Jason; Mindy, Eric, Adam, Stephen; Kenny, Jr, Kristal; Marica, Lisa, Alex, and also 15 great grandchildren.

He was born in Raceland, LA on May 23, 1934, to Jules Waguespack, Sr [deceased] and Exse (Theriot) Waguespack [deceased]. Siblings and spouses include Shirley Foret [deceased] (Ivy) [deceased], Evelyn Leblanc (Aaron) [deceased], Joseph "Jerry" Gerald Waguespack [deceased] (Odell) [deceased], Anne W McSweeney (Bill). And many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

Roland was a very loving, caring and generous man. He had a great sense of humor, loved to read and work with his hands. He was a devout Catholic who was awarded the Order of St Louis IX Medallion for his exemplary service to St John of the Cross Church, where he also served in the Knights of Columbus, and as a lector and an usher.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, masses or donation to a Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61030 Brier Lake Drive, Lacombe, Louisiana.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral mass at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
