Kathryn "Kit" Irene Ryan, 78, of New Orleans, Mandeville, and Slidell Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

Born on December 5, 1947, in Metairie Louisiana, she was the daughter of Eileen and Richard Ryan.  She grew up alongside her six brothers—Ricky, Dennis, Jerry, Patrick, Timothy and Roger Ryan—and was a devoted mother to her identical twin sons Ryan Cook and Chase Cook who she loved very much.

Kathryn graduated from Chapelle Catholic High School in 1966.  In 1969, she began her career as a stewardess with Eastern Airlines.  She later pursued professional modeling in Las Vegas, Nevada, before returning to Louisiana to explore other ventures and to be closer to her parents.

Kathryn is survived by her loving family, including her twin sons, Ryan and Chase Cook, and her brothers, Ricky, Dennis, Jerry, Patrick, and Roger Ryan.

She will be remembered with deep affection and respect by her family and friends, and by all who admired her beautiful soul and big heart.

The family will share details of her memorial service with friends and loved ones at a later date.
