Kathy Smith Over, 74, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Slidell, with her husband, Mike Over, by her side, after a long illness.

Kathy was born February 5, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Kathy was a dedicated and valued employee of Martin Marietta, where her hard work and commitment were evident to all who worked beside her.

Beyond her career, she was a loving wife and a dear friend to so many.  She loved her family and friends fiercely.  Her humor, love and generosity touched countless lives and her presence brought laughter and joy to all those around her.

In 1990, Kathy married Mike Over in Slidell.  His devotion and companionship were a constant source of strength and joy in her life.  Her memory will live on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love she so freely gave to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
