Keith G. Dorr Sr., a stubborn soul with a loyal heart and a respected automotive mechanic, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on May 26, 1950, Keith grew up with a natural curiosity for how things worked, a spark that grew into a lifelong passion and a career spanning more than 45 years in the automotive industry.

A self-employed mechanic for his entire life, Keith built his reputation on hard work, and an unmatched dedication to his craft. Whether he was rebuilding an engine, diagnosing a tough problem, or simply offering a helping hand (he did this occasionally), Keith approached every job with pride. His shop wasn't just a place to fix cars, it became a place where stories were shared, and Keith's steady presence made gatherings entertaining.

Beyond his work, Keith was a father, a loving grandfather, and a friend who cherished time spent with those "he" cared about.

Keith is proceeded in death by his parents; Louis C Dorr Jr. and Marie Louise Plauche, along with his two brothers; Charles and John Dorr.

He is survived by his son, Keith "Kasey" G Dorr Jr.; daughter, Katherine "Katie" Patrick (Brian); sister Nativa Mitchell, and grandkids Griffin and Graison (Kasey); DJ, Aidyn, Madison, Jackson, and Carson (Katie) and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of Keith's life at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 GAUSE BLVD WEST Slidell, LA, on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday after 12:00 P.M. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to "The National Corvette Museum" in his memory.

Keith's legacy endures every life he touched and every engine he bought back to life. He will be deeply missed.
