Kereigh Edward Fallon, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on September 10, 1942, in New Orleans to the late Dorothy Begault Fallon and Edward Fallon, Sr. He lived a life defined by education, compassion and integrity.

A lifelong believer in the power of education, Kereigh earned his bachelor's degree in education from LSU New Orleans and his master's degree in business education from Southeastern Louisiana University. Teaching was a calling that brought him immense fulfillment. He began his career in the Orleans Parish public school system and later served as both a teacher and administrator in the technical college system, concluding his distinguished career at Slidell Vocational Technical Institute. His polite and approachable nature, combined with his sincere friendliness and genuine interest in learning, earned him the respect and affection of those who knew him.

Beyond his professional life, his proudest moments were watching his children and grandchildren earn their numerous college degrees, a reflection of the value of education and dedication he instilled in his family. He was an enthusiastic supporter of LSU athletics and took great pleasure in following the Tigers. Whether it was football, baseball, softball, or basketball, he enjoyed wearing his purple and gold while cheering on his alma mater. For more than 50 years, Kereigh was a member of the Masonic Lodge, which was deeply meaningful to him. He was also a voracious reader and devoted student of history.

Married in 1965, he is survived by his wife, Lois Link Fallon. Together they built a loving family. He is also survived by his daughters, Kristi (Kenneth) Verrette and Lindi (Kenneth) Hooks III; his grandchildren, Christian (Leslie) Ruegsegger, Hope (Kyle) Schroeder, Olivia (Jonathan) Roberie and Haleigh Hooks; and his great-grandchildren, Preston Ruegsegger, Isla Roberie, and Rhodes Schroeder. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Erynn Ruegsegger.

Kereigh was the oldest of ten children and treasured the company of his brothers and sisters. He also enjoyed time spent with his numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his siblings, Barry (Cherie) Fallon, Mary Lou (late Charles) Elmer, Terence Fallon, Shellagh (Huey) Long, and Kevin (Elizabeth) Fallon. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Edward Fallon, Jr., William Fallon, Sr., Jaynee Abney and Brian Fallon.

Kereigh's kindness, gentle spirit, quiet wisdom and steadfast encouragement will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through his family and the values he embodied throughout his life.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation and funeral service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 A.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
