Kevin J. Kern, age 62, of Slidell, Louisiana, left our world on Friday, August 9, 2024.

Throughout his life, Kevin held many titles and took on many roles, but none were greater or more important to him than being a husband and a father. He was a pillar of strength and love for his wife, Sherry, and his four daughters: Amy, Emily, Jenny, and Katie.

He will be forever missed by his wife Sherry Kern; his daughters: Amy, Emily, Jenny, and Katie; his father, Kenneth Kern; his brothers: Kent, Kirk, and Keith Kern; Sister-in-Law Leah Kern; Son-in-Law Russell Neeley; Grandson Wyatt Neeley, and the rest of his entire family. He was preceded to Heaven by his mother Betty Kern.

While his absence will forever leave a void in their hearts, his family wishes to celebrate his life. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday August 24 at 11 am at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Slidell, Louisiana. All are welcome. In honor of Kevin's deep love for the Ragin Cajuns, please consider wearing red or University of Louisiana Lafayette apparel to his service and join his family in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed greatly.
