Leo J. Becnel, 71, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Lacombe, Louisiana.

Leo was born September 19, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Emile and Jane Becnel.  After growing up in Pointe-ala-Hache, Leo became a truck driver and eventually moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Leo retired to Slidell in 2021.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Ansardi Becnel; father, Emile Becnel; and mother, Jane Cosse Falgout.

He is survived by two brothers, Emile "Sonny" Becnel Jr. (Susan), Perry Becnel (Terry); father-in-law, C.J. Ansardi; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460.

The visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 10:00am.

Burial will be in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in St. Bernard, Louisiana.
