Leonard Paul Hebert, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 91 in Mandeville, LA.

Len was born to Euclide and Elsie Hebert in New Orleans, LA. He was drafted and a soldier in the United States Marine Corp in 1951 where he served in the Korea Close Air Support 1st Marine Air Wing. He was honorably discharged in 1954. Upon returning home he met and married Mary Ann Cammarata in 1955 while they were both employed at Sears & Robuck. They had a blessed marriage for 51 years and raised four children. Post military, he graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Commercial Science degree.

In Len's professional life, he worked in retail at Sears & Robuck and then Montgomery Ward. He then moved his career towards being a successful Life Insurance Agent with Mutual of New York and later with the Knights of Columbus where he retired at age 86.

Len was an avid sports fan, especially the New York Yankees, and a competitive player of many sports to include bowling, tennis, corn hole, horseshoes, and volleyball. When he was not watching or playing sports he enjoyed going to the beach, traveling, and driving his customized Saturn Sky. He was instrumental in starting and organizing the Knights of Columbus Council #9973 at St. Luke's Church and served as the first Grand Knight. Len enjoyed the company of his family and friends and never turned down a party, especially if the game Cadillac was involved.

Len was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann and survived by his four children, in which he was so proud of, Barry Hebert, Bridget Montz, Belinda Pittari, Bonnie Pittman to include his daughter-in-law and son-in-law's. In addition, he was survived by his 6 adored and loved grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, at Len's request donations can be made to St. Luke's Knights of Columbus Council #9973 and sent to 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell, LA 70461.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. luke the evangelist catholic church,

910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell, LA. on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 12:00 P.M.

Visitation at the church on Thursday after 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.

The burial will be on November 21, 2022, at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery located at 34888 Grantham College Rd. in Slidell, LA. beginning at 11:00am.
