Lillian Linda Scogin Carbo, age 80, a native and life-long resident of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. A devoted wife and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert "Bob" Maxent Carbo, and her father and mother, Robert Lee Scogin, Sr. and Lillian Pichon Scogin.

She is survived by daughters, Kim Carbo Gannon and Monique A. Carbo (Rusty), Phillip Davidson (Christa), whom she loved like a son; grandchildren, Shiloh Kline Latham (Daniel) and Brian Maxent "Max" Kline, and a step-granddaughter, Krystal Rhiannon Racer. Linda was the proud great-grandmother of Keane Davenport Latham. She was the loving Godmother of Rachel Scogin Holloway. She is also survived by her brother Robert Lee Scogin, Jr. (Patti). She will be greatly missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Linda was a 1960 graduate of Slidell High School and attended Spencer Business College in New Orleans. She met her lifetime love at the Comet Skating Rink in Lacombe, LA. After marrying Bobby in Dec. of 1960, she became dedicated in her married years to raising her two girls and took pride in ensuring her home was a tidy, loving environment. Cooking was one of Linda's greatest passions, even preparing and delivering hot home-cooked lunches to Bobby at his job daily. High on Linda's list daily, was visiting with her mother, Lillian, who lived next door. Linda volunteered her time as a Girl Scout leader and participated yearly in PTA, serving as a room mother and heading up the annual "Sweet Shop" at the school Fall Festival.

After the girls went to college, Linda was genuinely devoted to Bobby, following him into the Gulf of Mexico as he pursued his passion for bill fishing. Linda even landed a white marlin aboard their boat, The Leap Frog. Bobby was so proud of her, he had it mounted and hung in it their family room.  Linda became involved with Apple Pie Ridge Homemaker's Club and served as Vice-President. She was also an active member of the Slidell Garden Club, serving as corresponding secretary.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA, on  Wednesday, July 13, 2022, beginning at noon, followed by a service at 2:00.
