Lynne McGinnis "Granny" Kelly, 86, a resident of Slidell, Louisiana, for the past 35 years and a retiree of Slidell Memorial Hospital, ended this life's journey to begin her eternal life with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 14, 2023.

Lynne was born on March 16, 1937 to James J. McGinnis and Dorothy Carpenter McGinnis.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Patricia O'Donnell; and brother, James J. McGinnis Jr.

She is survived by her children, Shawn Kelly Huguet (Mitch), John J. Kelly (Crystal), and Michael J. Kelly.  She is also survived by "The light of her life" Grandchildren, Brandon M. Kelly (Falyn), Dylan J.Kelly (Darian), Bralyn J. Kelly, Bradyn J. Kelly and Kaycee L. Kelly; and six great grandchildren, Rylee, Kash, Charlee, Jude, Jade and Jules.

Granny will be remembered by her fiery spirit and deeply missed by her Family, Friends and all who knew her.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
