Mable R. Owen, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2024, in Slidell at the age of 85.

Mable was born in Bastrop, Louisiana and resided in Slidell most of her life.

She loved to read, play board games, and camping with her husband Billy plus their dog Co Co.

They enjoyed going to the beach together and watching the sunset.

She also enjoyed visiting with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a loving and caring mother. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Billy P. Owen Sr.; and her parents, Dave Spencer and Lottie Maude Spencer; step mom, Frances Spencer; and two sisters Lorene Hammock and Nelda McGaha.

She is survived by her two children, Debbie Hughes (Don), David Maddox (May); stepsister, Patricia; four stepchildren, Virginia Kensey, Billy Owen Jr., Debra Paquette, Sammy Owen; numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

The family would like to send special thanks to her care givers Prissy, Heritage Manor of Slidell, plus her special friend and Roommate Cindy Cooley.

Funeral services will be held in the Mausoleum at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 1:00pm.
