Our beloved Margaret "Peggy" Eileen West Menard entered God's Kingdom on March 28, 2022. She was 85.

Peggy was born December 1, 1936, in Buffalo, NY. She spent her childhood in East Aurora, NY and eventually moved to Sarasota, FL. From there, she joined Southern Airlines in the early 1960's as a stewardess and lived many places while employed at SA. Her trips eventually found her in Slidell, LA where she fell in love with the city and the culture. In addition to being a wife and mother, Peggy was a partner in both C&C Welding and Airgas, but always made time to serve her community. She was a "Domino Doll", served as President of the Slidell Chamber of Commerce, was active in her Mardi Gras krewe, and, after her Catholic Confirmation, actively supported St. Margaret Mary's RCIA program. She had an unwavering faith in God which she shared with those close to her.

Peggy met her soulmate George Sidney "Sid" Menard in Slidell and was married for 30 years. They had a beautiful, blended family consisting of seven children and, in subsequent years, added grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Peggy joins her beloved Sid, eight siblings, her parents, many aunts and uncles, her granddaughter Michelle Burlett, and stepson Rob Coleman in heaven. She is survived by her sister, Judith West; children, Sloan Coleman-Halus, Mary Elizabeth Binder, and John Ellington Greene; grandchildren, Jefferey Binder, Jillian Binder Spence, Noah Albright, Amanda Greene Sangster, and John Ericson Greene; great-grandchildren, June Binder, Harrison Binder, Victoria Spence, and Lake Sangster; Sid's children, Sidney Menard, Pamela Menard Boyd, Kevin Menard, Denise Menard Dunham; Sid's grandchildren, Josh Dunham, Brandon Menard, Rachel Menard, Addie Boyd Sage, Beau Menard, Theron Menard, and Briggs Menard; and Sid's great-grandchildren, Lexi Burlett, Lindley Burlett, Aiden Sage, and Austin Sage.

She will be missed!

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Catholic Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church,

1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458 on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 12:00 P.M.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation at the church on Friday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
