Marie "Jackie" Wilcox Tusa went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the age of 87, passing peacefully at her home in Lacombe, Louisiana. She was the wife of the late Walter B. Wilcox for 36 years and the late Nicholas A. Tusa for 20 years.

Jackie was the mother of Linda Pearl (Carl), Buddy Wilcox (Sue), Dena Buras (Michael), Brian Wilcox (Sue), and the late Stephen Wilcox (Paula). She had 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Claudia Besson and her siblings Olga B Rushing F.S.Sp.J., Edwin J Besson Jr., Marie B. Laurent, Frances R. Besson, Claude J. Besson and survived by her sister Martha B. Carriere.

Jackie was a devoted wife and mother. God, family and friends were everything to her. She was an active member of the church, leading Bible studies with Walter at their home, fostering relationships with God and friends.

Her hobbies included quilting, china painting and crocheting. She and Walter loved camping and traveling. To know her was to love her!

The family would like to thank Passages Hospice for the loving care that Jackie received from them.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
