Marilyn Ayers Broaddus, of Slidell, LA, passed away on May 15, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late James L. Broaddus. Mother of the late Shannon Broaddus Ludwick.

She is survived by three children; Kelly Broaddus Teal (Steve Teal), James Kirk Broaddus, and Erin Broaddus Core (Chris Core); six grandchildren; Steven Teal, Adam Teal, Brandon Teal, Ryan Teal, Phoebe Core, and Shelby Core. Great grandmother to Kenzie Teal, Canton Teal, Stella Teal, Winnie Teal, Colton Teal, Sloane Teal, and Bonham Teal.

She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and countless others in the community throughout her 50 plus years of nursing. She loved traveling, gardening, going to the beach and the endless hunt for antiques.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA, on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M.

Visitation on Friday after 9:30 A.M. until funeral time.

A private interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
