Marilyn Laborde Willis, 84, of Slidell, Louisiana. passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 8, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Born July 19, 1938, in New Roads, La. to the late Adres "Pete" Laborde and the late Verna Laborde Cook.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Willis Sr. "Lover"; two sons, Thomas Willis Jr. and Richard Lilly; and two grandchildren, Thomas Willis III, and Kellie Willis.

She is survived by eight children, Marilyn Williams (Tim), Star Willis, Regina Alphonso (Keith) Darlene Willis West, Dawn Nuschler (Drew), Hope Howell (Jimmy), Brian Willis (Peasie), Lonnie Lilly (Brenda); five brothers, and one sister; thirty-four grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren, six great-great-granchildren, and her Godchild, Angele Mejia.

Marilyn was a devoted Catholic and Parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church. Throughout her life, she was committed to nurturing her large family. She pledged her  time as a mother coaching soft ball teams, being a girl scouts leader, and volunteering as room mom at school. She was also a member of The VFW Ladies Auxillary, and participated in TOPS club, where she served as treasurer for many years. Marilyn also enjoyed competing on a bowling league, sewing and crocheting, cooking, baking, and watching football. Spending time playing cards and board games with her many grandchildren brought happiness to her heart. She was "MawMaw" to everyone she met.  Marilyn was a blessing to all who knew her and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460.Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 11:00am at the funeral home. Visitation will begin at 9am-11amBurial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery following the funeral.
