Marion "Marian" Weber, 94, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, in Lacombe, Louisiana, while surrounded by her loved ones.

Marion was born October 19, 1929, to Justin and Vicky Ancalade Barrios in Buras, Louisiana.

On June 25, 1949, she married Loys Joseph Weber in St Bernard Parish.

Marion dedicated her life to being a fantastic, loving and wonderful mother, who excelled at motherhood and was the foundation of our family, through and through.  She was an excellent gift giver, always knew the right things to say, and never missed a special date or celebration.

Marion was driven by a passion to help others and believed the world could always use one more kind-hearted person as she cared for several of her sisters and brothers during their process of eternal life.

Her life was a living example of kindness and compassion for one another, forgiving one another just as God forgave. Marion shared a very special love for her sister Anna B Lightell as they lived together for many years, with a bond that could not be broken. They made beautiful memories together their entire life as children, young adults and seniors.

She loved all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and lived a long life to witness four great-great grandchildren. Her home was always filled with family, friends and neighbors.

She loved seafood, crabs, shrimp, fish, gumbo, boiled seafood. The family would spend weekends and summers at the family camps. She loved summer picknicks at Pontchartrain Beach, Fountain Park and City Park there was always a large gathering of family members. She loved life to its fullest. She will be shining bright among the twinkling stars. God gained another beautiful angel.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Loys Joseph Weber; parents, Victoria Marie Ancalade Barrios and Justin Barrios; one son, Johnny Brown Weber; sons-in-law, Houston Gipson, Joe Lotz; brothers and sisters, Lloyd Barrios, August Barrios, Yvonne Barrios, Thelma Hingle, Eleanor Gioia, Jane Henderson, and Joyce Mattews.

She is survived by four children, Peggy Gipson, Debra Bondio (Frank), Lois Lotz, Loretta Burgess Riley (Jason); son-in-law, Forrest Burgess; a brother, Vernon Barrios; sisters, Anna B. Lightell, Emily Lynn; thirteen grandchildren, Gay Lynn Morse, Amanda Olver, Crystal Roberts, Frank Bondio III, Alan Tassin, Todd Tassin, Melissa Hamp, Desirie Bourgeois, Stevie Lynn Burgess, Aaliyah Riley Bourgeois, Joseph Loys, Giovanni Riley, Britany Burgess; twenty great grandchildren, Michael Raymond, Gabe Morse, Dylan Morse, Kameron Bondio, Kristin D. Roberts, Ashley M. Roberts, Ryan Tassin, Melanie Tassin, Brianna Tassin, Samantha Tassin, Jaylah Hamp, Robert Hamp, Jordan Hamp, Dan Miller, Dejah Miller, Aynia Lewis, Avery Olver, Caden Olver, Bayleigh Olver, Brayden Olver; four great-great-grandchildren, Carter Raymond, Colton Tassin, Silas Tassin, Legend Hamp; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana 70460, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Friends may visit at the funeral home beginning at 10:00am.  Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 noon.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
