Martha "Tina" Justina Pearson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Friday, September 22, 2023, at the age of 87. Born to Allie V Land and Cornelius Pettus Land, Tina is leaving behind a legacy that reflects a life of elegance, dedication, and unwavering respect. Tina is survived by her two loving daughters, Teresa Dabdoub (married to Dr. William "Billy" Dabdoub) and Elizabeth Sellers (married to Dr. Richard Sellers), her two devoted sisters, Bettie Bienvenu and Carolyn Tullos, her six cherished grandchildren, Kristy Dabdoub Gama, Katie Dabdoub Halbert, Brett Dabdoub, Ben Sellers, Preston Sellers, and Madeline Sellers, and her 4 wonderful great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dear brother, C.P. Land and former spouse Hulon Kleamon Pearson.
A lifelong educator, Tina dedicated much of her career to shaping the minds of countless students. Her passion for teaching was evident to all who sat in her classroom, and her influence will continue to be felt for generations to come. She held a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Southern Mississippi, a testament to her commitment to her craft.
Before her teaching career, Tina owned a beauty shop in Pearl River, where she brought beauty and confidence to her clients. She believed in the importance of presenting oneself well every day. Her presence was marked by an undeniable sense of dignity and class.
Beyond her professional life, Tina found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid bridge player, a pastime that allowed her to form deep connections with friends and fellow players. She also had a passion for ballroom dance, which allowed her to express her grace and elegance, and it brought her immense joy.
Tina's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. As we say our farewells, we remember the impact she had on our lives and the lasting impression she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but remembered with respect and gratitude.
