Mary Joanne Magnusen, age 74, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

She was born on August 31, 1949, in Amsterdam, New York, to the late Cedric Michael and Teresa Parillo DeSisto.

Mary is survived by her husband Kirk A. Magnusen; her sister, Concetta Dugas; brother-in-law, Paul Dugas; and nephew, Joseph Dugas.

Mary was a native of Amsterdam, New York, and a resident of Slidell since the 1960's. She graduated from Slidell High School and later graduated from beauty school. Her professional years consisted of working for Carolyn Park Middle School, MC Embery, and the Slidell City Court.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 P.M.

Visitation on Thursday after 12:00 P.M. until funeral time.

A private interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
