Michael Anthony Montecino, age 57, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, in Slidell, Louisiana.

Mike was born April 8, 1969, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Eugene and Gwendolyn Montecino. In 1990 he met Carlas Valeska.  The two were married in 2004 in New Orleans.  In 2005, the couple moved to Slidell, after Hurricane Katrina.

Mike enjoyed fishing, listening to his favorite music, spending time with family, and his dog Max.  His kind heart, warmth, and uplifting spirit will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Carlas Montecino; three children, Jennifer Murillo (Andrew), Michelle Lewis (Devin), Michael Montecino Jr.; brother, Glenn Montecino; a sister, Eunice Bonomo; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA, on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M.
