Muriel J. Murphy, 91, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Mobile, Alabama.

Muriel was born April 15, 1932, in Spokane, Washington, to the late Homer L. Cunningham and Doris E. Turton Cunningham.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Michael Murphy; daughters, Colleen Lott, Deborah Entrekin; son, James Healy; grandchildren, Nicholas Entrekin, and Jarrod Healy.

Muriel is survived by her children, Kathleen Nuber, Timothy Healy, Megin Murphy; grandchildren, Michael Nuber, Nicole Corcoran, Matthew Nuber, James Entrekin, William "Ryan" Entrekin, Rachael Dubuisson, Cherise Cialona; and great-grandchildren, Michael Nuber, Jr., Sara Dubuisson, Makayla Nuber, Julie Dubuisson, Lonna Nuber, Kindyl Nuber, Abigail Cialona, Bently Mull, DJ Dubuisson, Sebastian Cialona, Willow Dubuisson, Noah Mull and Lily Nuber.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mobile Rehabilitation & Nursing Center located in Mobile, Alabama for providing exceptional care, having loving staff, and bringing happiness to her daily life throughout her stay. Additionally, the family extends their appreciation to the employees of Ascension Hospital of Mobile and Hospice (Covenant House) for their excellent care and compassion during her last days.
