Nebeha Haddad Broom, age 93, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl D. Broom; her parents, Phillip N. Haddad, Sr., and Marie Gazel Haddad; and her six siblings, Violet Haddad Moore, Jeanette Haddad McDaniel, Adele Haddad Owens, Nell Haddad Parker, and Phillip Haddad, Jr.
Nebeha is survived by her four daughters, Carol Broom Faciane (Brandon), Robin Broom Day (Brad), Kim Broom Bosenberg (Bob), and Mary Broom Gressaffa (Scot); nine grandchildren, Brittney Faciane, Brandon Faciane (Lynda), Ashley Day Landry (Mark), Bradley Day (Lauren), Brett Bosenberg (McKenzie), Katie Gressaffa Olivier (Connor), Allison Gressaffa, Sydney Gressaffa, and Zachary Gressaffa, as well as seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Liz Haddad Fogg.
A life-long resident of Slidell, Louisiana, Nebeha attended Southeastern Louisiana University and Moler Beauty College. She was the owner/operator of the House of Beauty for 48 years. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was a recipient of the prestigious Order of St. Louis Medallion for her dedication and service to the church. She was also chairperson of the Hospitality and Welcome Committee for 50 years and was the first recipient of the Woman of the Year award at Our Lady of Lourdes.
Nebeha participated in many other local clubs and organizations. She was a Past President of the Slidell Jaycee Janes, a charter member of Xi Gamma Lamda, a former member of the Slidell Women's Civic Club, the Ozone Camellia Club, and the Krewe of Perseus.
She looked forward to her weekly bridge club gatherings, card games, and trips to the casino. She was deeply admired by her family and friends for her get-up-and-go spunk to the very end.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, December 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Slidell. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
