With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, Nena Mae Fillippello Cittadino, 90, of Slidell, LA, who passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She lived a life with a spirited feisty Italian personality that made her unforgettable. She was quick to speak her mind, generous with her love, and fiercely devoted to her family.  Her sense of humor, strength, and determination carried her through life's joys and challenges and left lasting memories for everyone who knew her.

Nena is survived by her children, Ron Cittadino (Martha), Mark Cittadino, Gina Koonce (Dewain) and Mary Eddy (Chris); grandchildren, Chris Johns, Ronald Cittadino III, Ricky Cittadino., Layette Pounds (Hayden) ,Tanya Cittadino, Angela Cittadino, Michael McAndrew (Naimi), Mark McAndrew, Mary Dodson (Andrew), Matt Koonce, David Koonce (Paula), Christina Crowe, Nena Eddy, Christopher Eddy; great grandchildren, Giovanni, Cittadino, Paxton Pounds, Falon Cittadino, Journey Rose, Kage Cittadino, Sabrina Schenk, Holly McPolstra (Drew), Luke McAndrew, Maggie McAndrew, Dylan Weilbaecher (Meghan), Dawson Weilbaecher, Malakai Koonce, Sarah Traylor; great great grandchildren, Jeremiah Cittadino, Elijah Cittadino, Paisley Weilbaecher, and other loving family members.  She also held a special fondness for her companion of six years Charles Purcello, as well as Stephanie and Ashleigh Bailes.

Nena was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Cittadino, her father, Russell Fillippello, her mother, Mary Fillippello Giaratano, her brother Salvatore Fillippello and her grandson Robert Cittadino.

At the family's request, funeral and interment services will be private.  We are sincerely grateful for your prayers, love and understanding as we celebrate her life together as a family.
