Nicholas Ryan Eirich, age 19, of Pearl River, LA., passed away at his residence, on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

He was born on December 9th 2004. Immediately after his birth he was faced with multiple complications and had to fight just to begin his life on this earth. Even as an infant his will to live was astonishing. As life went on for him it was easy to see the things he began to desire most. He always loved being around his family and friends without a care as to where the gathering may be. However, if he had a choice it would occur in the woods on a deer or turkey hunt, at the shooting range blasting a target with one of his many guns, or at a restaurant (preferably Nathan's) grubbing down on something good to eat; and if a vacation was brought into the conversation, Disney World was his answer.

Nicholas always brought happiness and joy into whatever situation he was faced with. He had such a great attitude throughout his lifetime, although the deck was stacked against him at such a young age. Some of his greatest accomplishments included knocking down a Velvet Elk on a trip to Colorado with his mom and parran by his side, taking a huge 10-point buck in Illinois after facing more adversity than most people would ever experience, and last but not least walking across the stage, diploma in hand, as a 2023 graduate from Pope John Paul High School. He lived his life to the absolute fullest and always to the best of his abilities. He always put others before himself and rarely complained about anything, although he had much to complain about. He was a true warrior as he constantly had to battle for his life and never displayed an ounce of fear as he made trip after trip to the hospital for multiple procedures. Nicholas sadly lost his long hard-fought struggle for life, last Thursday.

He is survived by his mother Gena, his father, Ross; his brothers, Nathan, and Christopher; his grandparents, Gene Kolber, Cheryl Kolber, Johnny and Andrea Carter, Sonny, and Mary Eirich. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who love and miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Catholic Funeral Mass at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA, on Thursday February 15, 2024 at 1:00 P.M.

Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
