Olga L. Broom, age 97, of Slidell, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband Capt. Robert W. Broom (M.S.C. Ret.), to whom she was married to for 64 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. and Arvie Sprole Williams; and her sister Gloria W. David (Chester).

Olga is survived by her sons, Gary W. Broom (Sandy) and Brant L. Broom (Terry); and her granddaughter Megan Broom.

A lifetime resident of Slidell, Louisiana, Olga graduated from Slidell High School in 1942 and went on to attend Spencer Business College in New Orleans. She was an active member of the Slidell High PTA, Slidell High Band Boosters, Slidell Women's Civic Club, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Slidell Lions Club, and N.A.R.F.E.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in her name to the Slidell Noon Lions Club, or the National Association of Retired Federal Employees Alzheimer's fund.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,

1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Tuesday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
